The short version
MarginPrint, MarketDay, Benchstock, and Maker Books are tools to help you run your shop — not financial, tax, or legal advice. They're provided as-is, your data lives on your device (so keep backups), payments run through Lemon Squeezy, and you can cancel anytime. Use them honestly and they're yours to use.
“Bennett Studio,” “we,” or “us” means the independent maker that builds MarginPrint, MarketDay, Benchstock, and Maker Books (the “Apps”). By installing, accessing, or paying for an App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Apps.
The Apps are mobile-first, local-first web apps for people who sell what they make. Everything you enter is stored on your own device; there is no account and no server-side copy of your business data. We may add, change, or remove features over time. Don't rely on any single feature for a decision you can't undo.
A free tier is available. Paid plans (monthly, annual, or lifetime) unlock additional features and are granted via a license key tied to a limited number of devices. Your license is for your own use; please don't share keys, resell access, or attempt to bypass the license or free-tier limits. “Lifetime” means the lifetime of the App, not a guarantee of perpetual operation.
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. Your payment details go to Lemon Squeezy, never to us, and they handle billing, receipts, and sales tax/VAT. Subscription plans auto-renew until cancelled; you can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Prices may change for future terms, but a change never affects a term you've already paid for. Refunds are handled under Lemon Squeezy's policy — if something's wrong, email us and we'll help make it right.
Because the Apps are local-first, your data lives in your browser on your device — we never hold a copy and cannot recover it for you. Clearing site data, uninstalling, switching devices, or browser eviction can delete it. Use the built-in JSON backup regularly and keep your own copies. How we handle the little data we do touch (the email you contact us with, your license email) is described in our Privacy Policy.
MarginPrint's AI pricing analysis is bring-your-own-key: you supply your own Anthropic API key, you're responsible for your own usage and any charges Anthropic bills you, and your use of Anthropic is governed by their terms. The key stays on your device and is never sent to us. AI output is a suggestion, not a guarantee — see the disclaimer below.

The Apps help you estimate costs, prices, profit, and set-aside amounts using the numbers you enter. Those outputs are estimates and decision-support, not financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for your own pricing, your own books, and your own tax collection, reporting, and remittance. Sales-tax features are informational only. Always confirm anything that matters with a qualified professional.
The Apps and website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Apps will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any result or number will be accurate for your situation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bennett Studio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost or corrupted data, arising from your use of the Apps. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Apps is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim (or, if you're on the free tier, US$0).
You can stop using the Apps and cancel any subscription at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are seriously or repeatedly breached. Your local data remains yours and on your device regardless.
We may update these Terms as the Apps evolve. We'll change the date above when we do, and material changes that affect a paid plan will be communicated before they take effect. Continuing to use the Apps after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where Bennett Studio is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts there have jurisdiction over any dispute — without limiting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
